Cramer's 'Mad Money' Recap: The Market Reflects Reality

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- "It's time to set things straight with some cold, hard facts," Jim Cramer told the viewers of his "Mad Money" TV show Tuesday.
He once again took on the naysayers and market bears, this time with plain good old fashioned logic.
Lesson 1: Stocks do not go up idly. Cramer said stocks don't hit 52-week highs because things aren't going well. He said stocks go higher because the companies are hitting the ball out of the park.

Today's post comes verbatim from one of EMC's respected Technical Business Consultants, Jerry Zeisler. Jerry recently posted this analysis of misleading claims that Hitachi and HP are making that they already deliver what EMC's FAST is promising on EMC's internal social media community (EMCOne). With the launch of EMC's first FAST deliverables fast approaching, I thought this article might be of interest to my readers (customers, partners, technical advisors and yes, even competitors alike).

The VCE Coalition: Redrawing The Landscape

The VCE Coalition: Redrawing The Landscape
The amount of R+D required to build these next-generation fully virtualized stacks is mind-bending. Combine the targeted R+D from VMware, Cisco and EMC, and you've got literally billions of IT infrastructure R+D dollars to go invest.
More importantly, that money can be spent efficiently. ll three VCE companies are relatively legacy-free in their approach. All three are really, really good at what they do. It's a clean picture - all about Intel, VMware and supporting technologies.

Re: E20-517 Symmetrix Solutions Specialist Exam for Storage Administrators (available August 28, 2009)
    Hello,
I understand how difficult it is right now to get funding for training and certification. Preparing for a Specialist level exam does require both education and experience. One thing I can offer you is a full exam description. That will help you to understand what is on the certification exam, and what you might need to spend time learning. Please be careful, though, not to order study or exam prep materials from anyone except EMC as it may invalidate any credential that you receive.

We also have a practice test for this exam. We recommend taking the practice exam once, reviewing the items you missed, and focusing additional learning there. Passing the practice test isn't a guarantee that you'll pass the exam, but it gives you one indicator.

You can find the exam description and practice test here.

There is a ValPak available, offering an instructor-led or LIVE (remote) class and four eLearning courses to get you fully prepared. I know the cost is an issue for you/your company, but here's the link just in case.

Please let me know if I've helped.

Among the certifications rising in value are EMC Proven Professional Technology Architect, Security Certified Network Architects, Microsoft Certified Architects, SNIA Certified Architects, and the Open Group’s IT Certified Architect.

Although pay for networking certifications is down over the last six months, many remain on the list of the IT certifications earning the highest pay premiums, according to the Foote report. These include certifications from Cisco, SNIA, EMC, Brocade and Avaya.
